Governor Charlie Baker, Mayor Marty Walsh and many more gathered for the 46th annual event at the Boston Convention Center

Hundreds of leaders from across Massachusetts attended the annual Martin Luther King Jr. breakfast in Boston Monday morning.

Governor Charlie Baker, Mayor Marty Walsh and many more gathered for the 46th annual event at the Boston Convention Center.

Trailblazing educator Doctor Ruth Simmons headlined this year's breakfast.

She was the first African-American to serve as president of an Ivy League college, and the first African-American woman to head a major American university.

The breakfast is Boston's longest-running event dedicated to the work and ministry of King.
