Massachusetts Man Gets 10 Years on Child Porn Conviction

Daniel Lorenz was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty in November

A Springfield, Massachusetts, man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison on child pornography charges.

Daniel Lorenz was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty in November to one count of possession of child pornography.

Prosecutors say the 45-year-old Lorenz used various email addresses suggesting that he was a young, female cheerleader and soccer player as a ruse to meet others online and exchange photos. He was arrested after federal agents raided his home in 2014.

Prosecutors say Lorenz had 800 video files of child pornography on his computer, some of which depicted violence.

Lorenz's lawyer says his client looks forward to getting treatment in prison.
