Massachusetts Police Seek Suspicious Man Who Followed Young Boy in Car

Man allegedly stopped his car and got out before the boy screamed and ran away

Massachusetts police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man who allegedly followed a young boy who was recently walking down a residential street in Weston.

Police said on November 7, a man was driving a black Volkswagon Passat when he was spotted turning around in a driveway on Brook Road near where a 10-year-old boy was walking. The man then sped up towards the boy, pulling up directly next to him, stopping his car and opening the driver’s side door, and then stepping out towards the boy.

Police said the boy screamed and ran away, at which point the man got back into his car and drove off towards Valley View Road.

Parents told necn that the situation is frightening, and that they're in the process of talking to their kids to teach them the right thing to do.

Other neighbors on Brook Road say they've seen police patrols stepped up.

"Today, I've seen the squad car going back and forth," said neighbor, Anna Jones.

"I find that very scary to have such an aggressive act and it's a very safe neighborhood," said neighbor, Heather Jones.

Anyone with information on the man's identity or the car involved, is asked to contact Weston Police Detectives at 781-786-6200.
