Ware, Massachusetts, police have arrested a 32-year-old woman as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
The Ware woman is scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Eastern Hampshire District Court in Belchertown.
Detective Sgt. Kenneth Kovitch says officers acting on a tip stopped the woman at an intersection Saturday evening. Officers say they found more than 1,500 small bags of heroin, money, and other drug-related items in her vehicle.
Kovitch says police received information that the woman would be picking up a large amount of heroin in Holyoke and returning with it to Ware.
She is charged with trafficking a class A substance over 100 grams and was held over the weekend on $25,000 bail.
