Microburst Confirmed in Deerfield, Mass.

The National Weather Service confirms a microburst touched down in South Deerfield, Massachusetts, on Tuesday.

The National Weather Service confirms a microburst touched down in South Deerfield, Massachusetts, on Tuesday.

The microburst, which produced straight line wind damage, occurred around 4:55 p.m., with an estimated path length of .45 miles.

No injuries were reported, but minor damage was reported on Hillside Road, just to the north of the Mount Sugarloaf State Reservation. Some trees and branches fell, with several large trees taking down powerlines.
