Court documents show a reputed longtime member of the New England Mafia is expected to plead guilty to his role in a decades-old slaying.

Prosecutors said in a plea agreement filed Tuesday in a Boston federal court that 71-year-old Robert "Bobby'' DeLuca will plead guilty Friday in Rhode Island to one count of conspiracy to commit murder in connection with the 1992 killing of Kevin Hanrahan.

Prosecutors say DeLuca is also expected to plead guilty to providing false statements to investigators in the 1993 slaying of Steven DiSarro, a Boston nightclub owner.

Hanrahan was gunned down in Providence in September 1992. No one has been charged with his death.
