A Dover, New Hampshire, mother has been charged with assaulting her 9-year-old daughter, according to police.
Teressa Moody, 35, of 12 Hampshire Circle, is charged with one count of simple assault. She was arrested without incident on Wednesday. The complaint against her says that she "recklessly caused bodily injury" to her daughter.
Dover Police began investigating on March 5 after being informed of the child's injuries by staff at her elementary school.
Moody is free on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Dover District Court on April 24.
