One young boy will have quite a story to tell someday

One young boy will have quite a story to tell someday.

Shortly after 7 p.m. on Sunday, a Framingham couple was driving on the Massachusetts Turnpike near the Allston Brighton tolls when the woman went into labor.

Massachusetts State Police dispatched area troopers and Boston EMS to the scene. The couple had just pulled into the tandem parking lot after the toll booth.

Trooper Joseph Hilton was the first to arrive, followed by Lt. William Nee. They began assisting the woman, as she was in active labor.

Boston EMS arrived shortly thereafter, and before the woman could be transported to the hospital, a baby boy was delivered in the ambulance. They were then taken to Massachusetts General Hospital.

"Excellent work by all involved," state police said in a press reelase.

The names of the couple are not being released, but state police did share a photo of the family.
