    The Massachusetts chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations is calling for a hate crime investigation after someone threw rocks into the windows of the Islamic Society of Greater Nashua in New Hampshire. 

    Officials say two windows were damaged Sunday night while people prayed inside. Witnesses reported seeing three juveniles leaving the area, according to Nashua Police.

    Police said they received a report 20 minutes earlier of three juveniles throwing rocks in an adjacent area.

    CAIR noted that the crime occurred on the anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks.

    Volunteer President Muhammad Akbar said one rock narrowly missed a worshiper sitting near the windows.

    He added that they have been holding their prayer services in this area for three years and have never seen something like happen.

    There is no word yet from police on whether the incident is going to be treated as a possible hate crime investigation.
