Mother of 5 Wanted for Parental Kidnapping

One of the children, an infant, is in need of medical treatment. A picture of that child was not available.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Quincy, Massachusetts, mother of five wanted on parental kidnapping and child endangerment charges.

Authorities are looking for Yurong Wu and her five children. One of those children, an infant, is in need of medical treatment; a photo of that child and another was not available.

Quincy Police say Wu disappeared around the time the state ordered her kids to be taken into state custody last week.

Wu's husband, Jackie Mei, is accused of obstructing the investigation. He was arrested and released on bail Friday afternoon. According to court paperwork, Mei told investigators he last spoke with his wife a week ago. But since then he says she’s turned off her phone.

Neighbors say they haven’t seen the children in weeks. They say they are concerned about the welfare of all five children and say they’ve felt something hasn’t been right for a while.

“There was no movement in the apartment,” said neighbor Ilona Przyklota. “There was no water running, no toilet being flushed, there was no sign of the children.”

“They’ve been gone for a long time,” added another neighbor, Stephen Hensley.

Quincy Police are working closely with authorities from New York State, including the Department of Children and Families. Investigators checked out an address in Brooklyn, but there was no sign of the family.
