NH Man Killed in Snowmobile Crash

Officers unloaded snowmobiles and ultimately found the crash scene an hour later

Officials in New Hampshire say a Groveton man is dead following a snowmobile crash in Stark Saturday night.

Conservation Officer Glen Lucas says conservation officers were notified of the incident by New Hampshire State Police following a 911 call around 6:30 p.m..

The call came in from a resident of Nash Stream Road who said a snowmobiler knocked on the door and said there was a crash up the road. That person then left without identifying himself or providing directions to the crash.

Officers unloaded snowmobiles and ultimately found the crash scene an hour later.

The victim showed no signs of life and had no pulse. He was pronounced dead at 10 p.m.

He has been identified as 51-year-old Paul Fortin.

The crash remains under investigation.
