NY Man Charged in Augusta, Maine, Homicide

Maine police say a New York man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with an Augusta homicide from last year.

Twenty-six-year-old Aubrey Armstrong was arrested in Queens and appeared in a New York court on a fugitive from justice charge on Monday. He is the fourth person to be charged in the death of 31-year-old Joseph Marceau.

Police say Marceau was killed inside an Augusta apartment in November in a drug-related homicide. Police say two other men charged with murder face pending court proceedings. A woman who was charged killed herself in her cell soon after her arrest.

Police say Armstrong will return to Maine to face the charge after court appearances in New York. It was unclear on Tuesday if he had a lawyer.
