NY Man Charged in Christmas Killings in Maine Due in Court

David Marble Jr. is due in court in Augusta on Tuesday for a hearing

A New York man charged in the Maine shooting deaths of a couple on Christmas is making an appearance in court.

David Marble Jr. is due in court in Augusta on Tuesday for a hearing. He was indicted in February on murder charges in the shooting deaths of 35-year-old Eric Williams and 26-year-old Bonnie Royer.

Marble has pleaded not guilty to the charges. He is from Rochester, New York.

Police say Williams and Royer were shot in Manchester, outside of Augusta. One of them called 911 from a dirt road about a mile from their home on the day of the shooting. Responding officers later found both of them dead.
