Earlier story below:

Natalee Cote of Old Town was reported missing on Monday afternoon by her mother who called police after Natalee was picked up from school by her stepfather, 44-year-old Christopher Julian, and noticed there were several missing items, including a debit card.

Old Town police say they've since learned that Cote may possibly be endangered, and they've issued a temporary warrant for Julian for criminal restraint.

Natalee is described as about 5-foot 4-inches with short, dark brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing jeans, a black sweatshirt and DC sneakers.

Julian is believed to be driving a black Mercury Mountaineer with a Maine license plate reading 1874MD. He's described as about 5-feet 9-inches to 6-feet, with a shaved head, brown goateee, heavy set and several tattoos, including left arm tattoos from his left hand knuckles to his shoulder. Police say he's currently wearing an air cast.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call police immediately.
