New England Patriots Hold Annual Charity Gala

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was met with loud cheers from the crowd at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro Tuesday night.

The players were introduced one by one as part of the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation event.

"This is a great event. We love to come to it. The Krafts do a great job. Everybody's here. The players are here, it's all fun," said attendee John Durkin.

The event is being held with the Pats just a little more than a week out from their first regular season game and with the federal court judge in the "Deflategate" settlement announcing he'll make a decision in the case by the end of the week.

One fan said, "We're obviously for no suspension and we support "Free Brady."

Another said, "I'm kind of tired of waiting for it, but it's good news that it's going to happen by the end of the week."

According to a report from Boston Herald Patriots writer Karen Guregian, Patriots owner Bob Kraft, at the podium, called "Deflategate" the most overblown story in recent NFL history.
