New Hampshire Karate Instructor Charged With Sexually Assaulting Juvenile Female

Daniel Rogers is free on $50,000 personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment on Oct. 26

A New Hampshire karate instructor is facing charges for allegedly assaulting a juvenile female.

Daniel Rogers, 31, of 4 Hazel Ave., in Nashua, was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging him with two counts of felonious sexual assault, one count of second degree assault and one count of simple assault.

Nashua Police said they received a report on Aug. 5 that Rogers - in his capacity as a karate instructor - had physically assaulted and possibly sexually assaulted a juvenile female who was known to him.

Detectives began investigating and said they found that Rogers had bitten the young girl on the neck, leaving a mark. He had also touched her for the purpose of sexual gratification.

Nashua Police did not release the name of the martial arts academy where Rogers was employed but said it has cooperated fully with the investigation.

Rogers is free on $50,000 personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment on Oct. 26 in Nashua District Court.
