New Hampshire Police Detective Facing Drunk Driving Charges

    A New Hampshire police detective is facing drunk driving charges after state police say he crashed his vehicle in Hampton on Monday night.

    Trooopers responded to the crash on Interstate 95 at the Exit 2 off ramp at about 10:30 p.m.

    The driver was identified as Christopher Gilroy, 37, of Exeter, a detective with the Hampton Police Department.

    Gilroy is being charged with driving while intoxicated.

    New Hampshire State Police are handling the investigation while the Hampton Police Department is handling the personnel manner.
