New Video Shows Driver Crash Into 5-Year-Old, Grandmother

Violeta Crisostomo is spending every moment she can with her daughter and her mother as they recover from severe injuries — both were hit by a driver last week in Worcester, Massachusetts.

"They were just waiting for the bus and she was just driving crazy," said Crisostomo.

The suspect, Cassandra McAuliffe, appeared in court Thursday as new video of the crash was played for the judge.

Crisostomo's mother, Doris, is still in the hospital with a long list of injuries, including fractures to her pelvis, shoulder, arm and several ribs, as well as a punctured lung.

Her 5-year-old daughter, Sylvana, is out of the hospital, but she has a fractured skull.

There does not appear to be any permanent brain damage.

Investigators say the two were hit by Mcauliffe, who allegedly crashed her truck while chasing her ex-boyfriend.

Thursday afternoon, McAuliffe appeared in court for a dangerousness hearing, where the new crash video was played and frantic 911 calls were heard.

"It wasn't an accident, it happened because of her wrong behaviors," said Crisostomo.

At the hearing, the judge decided the defendant is dangerous enough to be held without bail.
