No Bail for Man Accused in Sports Bar Stabbing

A Massachusetts man faced a judge Monday in connection with a stabbing outside of a sports bar last week.

Thirty-six-year-old James Lyons of Woburn was ordered to be held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing during his arraignment at Woburn District Court on an assault with intent to murder charge.

Authorities say Lyons' victim from the stabbing outside of Jake n JOES is still in critical but stable condition.

Lyons and the victim allegedly got into a heated argument outside of the restaurant shortly after the establishment closed, which ultimately ended with Lyons stabbing the victim, according to the Middlesex district attorney's office.

Lyons' next court date is Aug. 29.
