A severe gas explosion occurred early Sunday morning in a unoccupied building in Canton, Massachusetts.
The Canton Fire Department reported that a call came in around 1:45 in the morning for an explosion at 45 Shawmut Rd.
Many neighboring fire departments, including the Stoughton and Norwood Fire Departments, were on scene to assist in putting the two-alarm fire down.
No one was injured in the explosion and the cause is believed to be an accidentally damaged exterior gas meter.
