The New Hampshire Attorney General's office is investigating an officer-involved shooting in the town of Henniker.

Around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a robbery in Franklin. Police allege that the suspect, later identified as 19-year-old Aaron Cadman, proceeded to steal a truck and strike the owner with it before fleeing the scene.

A Henniker police officer identified the vehicle traveling on Route 202 around 5:15 p.m. As the officer pursued the truck, the truck collided with another vehicle.

The officer then attempted to take Cadman into custody. During that interaction, the officer fired a shot and wounded Cadman in the arm. Cadman was treated on scene and transported to a local hospital for further treatment. His injury does not appear to be life-threatening.

The circumstances that led to the shooting are under investigation.
