A patrolman, along with the help of a passerby, helped rescue two children from a burning building in Manchester, New Hampshire.
The patrol officer was keeping a close eye on city streets when he saw a large cloud of smoke early Wednesday.
Officer David Labbe drove toward the area and located a fire at a building on Rimmon St.
He notified dispatch before entering the burning building. He cleared the apartments on both the first and second floor.
A man, who was driving by, stopped to aid in the evacuation. Raji Gupta, 39, of Manchester helped the officer and carried two small children from the third floor apartment out of harm's way.
Labbe cleared the remaining third floor apartment.
All of the residents were safely evacuated and unharmed.

The six unit building sustained heavy fire damage. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
