A man died from an early morning fire in Winthrop, Massachusetts, according to officials.
The fire broke out early Saturday morning at 162 Winthrop Shore Drive. The man, believed to be in his 60s, was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital where they died.
This death brings the total number of fire-related fatalities this year to 23 civilians and one firefighter, according to the Department of Fire Services.
The victim’s identity and the cause of fire have not been released, but officials consider it accidental.
