PD: 80-Year-Old Crashes Into Building; No Injuries

No one was injured when the car crashed into the building Tuesday morning, shattering the glass and knocking over some office furniture

Portland, Maine, police say the motorist who crashed into the AAA of Northern New England building was not a student driver.

No one was injured when the car crashed into the building Tuesday morning, shattering the glass and knocking over some office furniture.

Police said the driver was an 80-year-old woman, not one of the AAA driving school students.

Employee Robin Tucker said he heard an engine revving and moved far enough to avoid impact when it crashed into the building. He said he's glad they're both OK.

A structural engineer determined that the building was safe.
