Vermont State Police have arrested a woman accused of driving while under the influence of drugs and kicking a trooper during her arrest.
Police responded to 4826 Memorial Drive in St. Johnsbury Sunday night for a report of a suspicious car parked on a lawn.
Prior to arrival, police received a report of a driver in the area driving erratically.
Officers determined the driver in the vehicle, 25-year-old Ceara Concannon, of Burke, was under the influence of narcotics. As she was being arrested, police say she attempted to kick out the windshield of a state police cruiser and kicked a state trooper in the chest.
Officers seized five empty suspected heroin baggies, two pipes used to smoke crack cocaine and hypodermic needles.
She was released on a citation to appear in court on December 19.
It’s not clear if she has an attorney.
