Police in Chatham, Massachusetts say a man who was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol crashed into a tree, seriously injuring himself.
The crash happened just after midnight Wednesday in the area of 346 Sam Ryder Road.
The driver, 22-year-old Clarence Crowell IV, was flown to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston with serious injuries.
He is facing charges of operating under the influence of alcohol, operating a motor vehicle to endanger and a marked lanes violation.
