1 Killed in Multi-Vehicle Rollover Crash in Fall River

Massachusetts State Police say a man died following a multiple-vehicle rollover crash on Route 24 south in Fall River Tuesday morning.

The crash happened just before 5 a.m. Police say an 2000 Acura 35R struck the left travel lane guardrail and became disabled perpendicular to oncoming traffic in that lane. An SUV then struck the vehicle, also becoming disabled. A van then rear-ended the SUV, causing the van to roll over.

The victim, an adult passenger in the SUV, was struck by the rolling SUV. Police identified him on Tuesday afternoon as Yau Wong Li, 65, of West Roxbury.

No other injuries were reported.

All southbound lanes in the area were closed for a couple of hours.

The crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time, according to police.
