Minnesota Vikings Without Adrian Peterson to Face New England Patriots

Kick-off between the New England Patriots and the Minnesota Vikings is set for 1 p.m. Sunday

The New England Patriots will look to get back on track Sunday following a disappointing loss in their season opener against the Miami Dolphins.

This week, they'll be playing Vikings in Minnesota at 1 p.m.

"We're a long ways from the team we're going to be," Tom Brady said as he prepared for Sunday's trip to Minnesota. "We hate losing ... it's a terrible feeling around here. It's a quality of life issue I think we all face when we lose, and hopefully it motivates us to go out there and have a great week of practice and be prepared for this game, go out there and try to beat a very good team."

The Vikings won their season opener, but now they will be without their star running back Adrian Peterson.

Peterson was deactivated for the game after he was indicted on child abuse. It's not yet clear if Peterson will be suspended by the NFL. A league spokesman says Peterson's case will be reviewed under the NFL's personal conduct policy.
