Pedestrian Struck by Car in Littleton, Mass.

A pedestrian was struck by a car in Littleton, Massachusetts Sunday evening.

Police and fire personnel responded to Ayer Road and Willow Road around 5 p.m.

Responders located a 41 year-old male from Littleton. The man was struck by a 2012 Ford Escape SUV as he attempted to cross the street. The man was transported to an Ayer area hospital before being transferred to a Worcester hospital for serious, life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the SUV is an 88-year-old Ayer man. The man remained on scene following the crash and was responsive with officers. He was transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
