Person Struck by Commuter Rail Train

The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority is investigating after a person was struck by a commuter rail train in Norfolk.

The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority is investigating after a person was struck by a commuter rail train in Norfolk.

The call came in Sunday around 10 a.m. for a person possibly stuck under a train. Investigation revealed a 66-year-old man, who was trespassing in the right of way area, was struck by an empty inbound MBTA Commuter Rail Franklin line train.

Police say the man's injuries are not considered to be life threatening, but he was transported to Brigham and Women's Hospital via med flight.

The investigation is on-going.
