A person was struck and killed by an MBTA Commuter Rail train in South Weymouth on Friday morning.
According to the MBTA, a trespasser was hit by a train on the Kingston/Plymouth line.
Transit Police say the victim, a 23-year-old female, was trespassing on the Right of Way when she was struck by an outbound MBTA Commuter Rail train.
She was pronounced dead on scene as a result of the injuries she sustained.
Delays are expected on trains traveling in both directions.
Passengers will be bused to their destinations.
Police are currently investigating the incident.
