Pictures taken from security camera show man on a black scooter near scene of shooting

Boston Police need help identifying the man wanted for questioning in the shooting of a 2-year-old girl over the weekend in Roxbury.

Newly released pictures taken from a security camera show a man on a black and white scooter with a black helmet.

Police said the man was last seen driving toward the Dudley Triangle, moments after Saturday's shooting which took place on Degautier Way.

The man also appeared to be wearing a sweatshirt and grey sweatpants.

Police said a toddler was in the back seat of a vehicle at about 4 p.m. when a bullet meant for her father, struck her in her hand and leg. The girl was taken to a hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Police have said the child’s father, a known gang member, is not cooperating with the investigation.

The exact link the man in the pictures has to the crime is unknown but police say they’d like to question him.
