Police in Somerset, Massachusetts are warning the public of a phone scam.
Authorities said residents have been receiving calls from an organization claiming to be the American Police Academy. The so-called organization is trying to solicit money to help the families of fallen police officers.
Police said they are unaware of such an organization and recommend finding reputable organizations should people want to donate money.
