A small plane crashed while attempting to land at Pepperell Airport in Massachusetts, but its pilot and one passenger were able to walk away.
The plane ended up resting on its nose in a hedge off the landing strip.
The Pepperell police and fire departments responded to the airport at about 12:40 p.m. when the crash was reported, according to a statement from Pepperell police.
When crews arrived, they determined that the two occupants of the Cessna Caravan were not hurt, police said.
A preliminary investigation showed that the plane was attempting to land after a skydiving run when its nose struck the runway. That caused the plane to leave the pavement and come to rest in the grass nearby, according to police.
The Federal Aviation Administration was notified and the incident is under investigation, police said.
