Police: 2 Bodies Found at Motel

Police say drug paraphernalia was found in the room

State and local police are investigating the discovery of two dead bodies in a Biddeford, Maine, motel.

The bodies of a 28-year-old male and a 31-year-old female were reported in a room at the Sleepy Hollow Motel on U.S. Route 1 at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police say both bodies are now at the medical examiner's office to determine cause of death.

State police spokesman Steve McCausland says there is no indication the deaths are homicides.

Biddeford police say drug paraphernalia was found in the room and it appears the female died first. State police may take over the investigation depending on the results of an autopsy.

Police did not immediately release the names of the two deceased people.
