Police: 76-Year-Old Man Man Sat in Truck With Shotgun, Threatened People in Chittenden, Vermont

A 76-year-old Vermont man was arrested on Halloween for parking his truck outside a house in Chittenden with a loaded shotgun, threatening the people inside.

Police say Glenn Delpha Sr. of Chittenden parked on Ice Pond Road and sat there with his weapon.

He is accused of threatening to harm the residents of 6 Ice Pond Rd.

State troopers responded shortly before 10:30 a.m. They say they talked Delpha out of his truck and discovered the loaded gun had been within his reach.

Delpha was charged with aggravated assault. He is being held at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Center on $25,000 bail. He is due to be arraigned in Rutland on Monday.

It was not immediately clear if Delpha had an attorney.
