A pedestrian was rushed to a Massachusetts hospital Wednesday evening after police in Abington said she was struck by an alleged drunk driver.
Police responded to an area on Green Street at about 7 p.m. where the woman was suffering from serious injuries. She was taken by medical helicopter to Tufts Medical Center.
Authorities said an alleged drunk driver had struck the woman and continued down the street, then somehow missed the curb and overturned his car, landing Brockton Avenue and Mill Street.
The driver, who was not identified, was taken to Brockton Hospital where his condition is unknown.
No further details have been made available.
