Police: Anonymous Tip, Social Media Lead to Assault Arrest

Police in New Hampshire say an anonymous tip and social media led them to an assault suspect.

Portsmouth Police say they released a video on its Facebook page July 15 asking for the public's help identifying a man who had sucker punched another man in a parking lot downtown in June.

Two days later, police say they received an anonymous tip that eventually led to the arrest of 33-year-old James Egal of Dover, whom police say turned himself in on July 26.

Egal has been released on $500 personal recognizance bail. His court date is Aug. 31.
