Police in Hooksett, New Hampshire, arrested an alleged drunk driver early Saturday morning.
Around 2:21 a.m., a police officer stopped a vehicle turning from Dale Road onto Hooksett road for failure to stop at a stop sign. The officer smelled alcohol on the motorist's breath and ultimately placed him under arrest. In addition, the officer found a small amount of marijuana while retrieving the suspect's wallet from the vehicle at the suspect's request.
The motorist, later identified as 23-year-old Gregory Hood of Manchester, was charged with DWI and transportation of drugs. He was later released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail.
