Police stopped a car Sunday in Newport, New Hampshire, and arrested its three occupants after it was determined that the vehicle was stolen.
The driver, 32-year-old Joshua Dematos of Farmington, is charged with receiving stolen property and driving under suspension. He also had warrants in Farmington for drug possession and for possession of burglary tools.
One passenger, 34-year-old James Whinnem of Somersworth, was wanted in Manchester and Dover in connection with multiple bank robberies.
The other passenger, 36-year-old Christina Robinson, is from Farmington, where she, like Dematos, was already wanted. She was arrested on a warrant for possession of a controlled drug and conspiracy to receive stolen property.
Dematos, Robinson and Whinnem are being held at Sullivan County House of Corrections before they are arraigned. Police are investigating the suspects. More charges may be forthcoming.
