Police Chief in Montague, Massachusetts, on Administrative Leave

A western Massachusetts police chief is on administrative leave, according to necn affiliate WWLP.

Montague Police Chief Charles Dodge has not been charged with a crime, but the town's board of selectmen will vote Monday on whether he should be returned to active duty.

Richard Kuklewicz, a member of the board, told WWLP Dodge's leave was related to "an ongoing investigation by the Attorney General's office," referring to it as "a personell matter."

No further details about the investigation were immediately available.

Kuklewicz told WWLP the board would meet with Dodge privately Monday night.
