    Police Conduct Undercover Sex Sting
    S. Burlington Police

    Authorities in South Burlington, Vermont, on Tuesday night conducted an undercover operation at a local motel.

    During the course of five hours, multiple men conversed with undercover officers posing as underage female prostitutes.

    The undercover officers told the men they were 14 years old; the men agreed to engage in sexual acts in exchange for money and then traveled to the local motel to meet them.

    Some of the men wished to engage in sex for money with undercover officers posing as adult prostitutes, as well.

    Three people were arrested on charges of luring and prohibited acts.

    Buddhi M. Pradhan, 20, of Burlington and Carl W. Shanholtzer, 30 of Swanton are each being held on $5,000 bail. Jake Ste. Marie, 29, of Burlington is being held on $7,500 bail. All three will be arraigned on Wednesday.
