Several police agencies are searching property around a mobile home in Canton, Maine, as part of the investigation into a teenager last seen in 1986.

Maine Public Safety Department spokesman Steve McCausland tells the Sun Journal that officers were expected to remain at the scene for the rest of Thursday.

Kimberly Moreau was last seen the night of May 9, 1986, when she left her home in the small western Maine town of Jay. Police suspect foul play and she is presumed dead, but her remains have not been found and nobody has been charged in her disappearance.

Her father said there were rumors his daughter attended a party the night she disappeared. He says he doesn't believe anyone intentionally harmed her, but he needs to know what happened.
