Police Continue to Investigate 1992 Murder

Susan Taraskiewicz was found murdered 22 years ago in Revere, Mass.

On the 22nd anniversary of her death, Massachusetts State Police reminded the public that they continue to investigate the murder of Susan Taraskiewicz.

On its YouTube page, the department posted a video of the victim's mother reflecting on the past two decades.

"I get up every day, and Susan is always on my mind. It doesn't go away," said Marlene Taraskiewicz. "She would be so angry and upset knowing that this has destroyed her family. Somebody taking her life has destroyed her family."

The 27-year-old Northwest Airlines employee left work on Sept. 13, 1992 to pick up sandwiches. She never returned to work at Logan Airport.

On Sept. 14, she was found dead in the trunk of her car outside a Revere auto body shop.

According to police, Susan Taraskiewicz had recently been sexually harassed by male coworkers at the time of her death. They also note a group of her coworkers had been involved in a credit card theft ring.

Police say they are investigating any possible connection between the murder and the issues with fellow Northwest Airlines employees.

"They don't just take your child. They take your life. They take your family, they take your dreams," said Marlene Taraskiewicz in the video. "And that's why you need justice."
