Police ID 19-Year-Old Found Dead in Hotel Room

Investigators say they are currently treating her death as suspicious

A young woman found dead inside a hotel room in Braintree, Massachusetts, has been identified.

Authorities have identified the woman as 19-year-old Reina Rodriguez of Lawrence.

Rodriguez's body was found inside the Hyatt Place Hotel shortly before 8 a.m. on Thursday.

Investigators are currently treating her death as suspicious, but haven’t released additional details. The state's medical examiner office will determine her cause and manner of death.

Hotel guests say that investigators were focused on a room on the second floor.

A spokesperson for the Hyatt Place Boston/Braintree hotel said the safety of its guests and employees are its top priority.

"Our hearts go out to the victim's family, and we appreciate the community's respect for their privacy during this difficult time," the spokesperson said in a statement. "The hotel is fully cooperating with authorities on their investigation, and any additional inquiries should be directed to Braintree Police Department."
