Police: Dad Left Baby Alone at Mall

A New Hampshire man is facing charges after he left his baby alone at the Merrimack Premium Outlets.

A father is facing charges after he allegedly left a baby alone in a stroller in Merrimack, New Hampshire.

On Saturday at 5:24 p.m., police responded to the Merrimack Premium Outlets for the report of an infant left alone in a stroller. According to witnesses, the suspect, later identified as Reda Said, was with the stroller and two other young children when he walked away with the children and left the baby in the stroller behind. They estimated that the child was left alone for approximately 30 minutes.

While the officer was talking with witnesses, the child's mother arrived on scene. She said she was in a nearby store, leaving the baby behind with the father. The father stated to police that he thought the child's mother was with the stroller while he took the two other children to the nearby playground.

Merrimack Police later received a warrant, charging Said with one count of endangering the welfare of a child. Said turned himself into police Sunday morning.
