Police: Driver Intentionally Hit Pedestrian Playing ‘Pokemon Go'

Jeannie Chapman is charged with aggravated assault

Police say a pedestrian was intentionally hit by a car on Sunday night while playing "Pokemon Go."

According to WCSH-TV, a 37-year-old man was playing the popular smartphone game with friends in Bangor, Maine, when he was hit by a vehicle.

The driver, Jeannie Chapman, 36, of Brewer, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

Witnesses told police that Chapman and the victim were involved in an argument before she hit him and then drove away from the scene. The man was in a crosswalk when he was struck.
