Police: Gym Worker Sexually Assaulted Child

A 23-year-old New Hampshire man who works at a children's gym has been accused of sexually assaulting a child.

Cameron Beaton of Epsom, who works at USA Ninja Challenge in Hooksett, allegedly assaulted the child at that facility.

Beaton turned himself in around 2 p.m. Friday. He is charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault.

"This case was fast moving and we want the public to be aware that this incident appears to be isolated to this location," Hooksett Police Chief Peter Bartlett said in a statement.

Still, police want anyone with any knowledge of Beaton or the case to come forward.

Beaton was released on $4,000 personal recognizance bail. As a condition, he may not work or volunteer with children.

USA Ninja Challenge has placed Beaton on leave.

It was not immediately clear if Beaton had an attorney.

According to the program's website, it is open to boys and girls between 4 and 18. Its goal is to "turn kids into ninjas one obstacle at a time," and "the desired result of this program is to improve children's strength, flexibility and all-around athleticism." The Hooksett location is one 11 member clubs listed in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania.
