Police in Worcester, Massachusetts, are investigating the stabbing death of a man that occurred on Wednesday night.
According to the department, police responded to the area of 766 Main Street, specifically to a YMCA parking lot, for a report of a male suffering from a stab wound.
Officers observed the male victim, 37-year-old Lee Daniels, of Connecticut, unconscious and suffering from a stab wound to the torso.
Worcester EMS treated the man and transported him to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him deceased around 7:38 p.m.
Evidence at the scene was secured and processed and detectives spoke with witnesses.
Detectives learned that the victim was exiting his car when he spoke with another man which lead to an altercation.
The victim got back into his car and drove to the YMCA parking lot where he stopped his vehicle and slumped over.
A witness called police.
The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time.
