Police are investigating the stabbing of a teenager that took place Friday night in Melrose, Massachusetts.
Officers responded to the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital after a report that a 17-year-old boy had been stabbed just before 10 p.m.
Police learned that the teen had been outside the nearby Walgreens when a car with three men inside pulled up to him. The men then got out and allegedly stabbed the victim six times.
Authorities said the teen was later transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The stabbing is under investigation but police believe the incident is isolated and that the victim and suspects knew one another.
